    Mt Adams in February?

    j, are you marios friend? he was asking me about this earlier.

     

    if you can get up there, it should be great! ive always wanted to do adams in the winter. just not willing to spend an extra couple days for the added 10+ miles just to get to the trailhead!!

    i would guess (again, never been there this time of year!) it would be at least a three day trip.

    just need to be aware of avy conditions.

     

    unless you have snowmobiles...

    You are invited to an exciting evening with Dan Mazur, who tells stories and

    shows films about climbing Everest and exploring Himalayan mountains. Dan is

    best known as leader of Greg Mortenson's "Three Cups of Tea" expedition.

    Also, Dan and his team turned around just below the summit of Mt. Everest to

    rescue a fallen Australian climber and the story was featured on NBC

    Dateline.

     

    Admission is free so please tell all of your friends.

     

    The presentation lasts a little over 1 hour and there will be time to meet,

    for questions, and a lively discussion before, during, and afterward.

     

    Dan is doing this as a fundraising event and donations are encouraged to the

    Mount Everest Foundation, helping poor families living near Everest help

    themselves build schools, hospitals, and environmental projects.

     

    Tuesday, January 12th, 6:30pm at 213 South Main Street (Red Door), Moscow,

    Idaho.

     

    Thursday, January 14th, 7:30pm at Walla Walla Community College in the

    Health Sciences Auditorium.

     

    I'm looking forward to seeing you there and thanks for telling all of your

    from the view here in battle ground, and the low snow levels we've had for the past 3 weeks or so, it should be great. Looks to be completely covered down to the treeline at least.

    Supposed to snow down here in the valley overnight friday/early saturday too!!

    Good luck, make sure to post some pics.

     

    We're going to skin up, board down Dec 19th! Hope we get the great weather then that we've been having!

    Just bought a used voile split decision. Got tired of always being passed up by you guys skinning up the hills!! Since I have never skiied, but do have some snowboarding under my belt, figured this would be the way to go!

     

    Heading up to T-line this weekend to attempt to skin up the palmer to below Crater Rock for some practice!! Woo hooo!

     

    Any advice?
