I'm afraid I'm not the Taka. I've never lived in US. There're many "Taka", so it's natural to confuse.

Hi, I'm thinking about going to Owens River Gorge or somewhere on Oct. It is in the so distant future and plan is sketchy,though. But I'm a climber in Japan, so I should be prepared early. That's why I'm wondering if someone is available on weekdays and weekends.On top of that, I'm looking for information. Thanks, Taka in Japan

Hello there, I'm a male Japanese climber in my thirties in Japan and just thinking about doing sports-climbing in Smith Rock Oct.15-18. I'm planning to fly to Portland, it's sketchy though as for now. I usually lead sport up to 11a or b, but I think the system is different from that in the U.S. so my skill is skeptical. And I've not do trad climbing, just only sport climbing on bolt-routes. If anyone is interested, send me a PM or post on this thread! I'm looking forward to enjoying climbing with you guys!
