not sure if I should post this on this board or the rock climb board. I was taught to use a double fisherman's knot to tie two ropes together for a rap. Now I've seen folks use a figure eight and a overhand knot ( I believe that's what it's called). What do you guys use and why? Does it matter? Pros and cons of each?
