Yeah, where you use to leave the quarry road and follow the old-starting-to-overgrow road towards the sisters, that road is now graded with a bridge over the shallow creek. (West of Mt Baker... oops)

During the end of August I climbed the North and South Twin Sisters. Our approach was the typical one from Mosquito Lake Rd, up FR 38, stopping at the bridge and walking up the quarry road. Well sometime in the last year the bridge failed an inspection and no more mining trucks can drive over the bridge. So They have re-built a new road and bridge up Blue Mtn. Rd. Anyway, to connect the old quarry road up to the Twin Sisters (west side) you follow the same route except now the road is graded and there is a bridge where you ford the creek. This makes the approach a bit faster, but there was a lot of traffic.
