Thanks all, I'm thinking $100 would be fair for both sides. Not looking to fund my move off of this:) I've also got a box of topo maps I'll throw in and a bonus vhs of Lynn Hill on the nose.

I've retired and am heading to the desert. I've got a stack of guide books, mostly local, some dating back to the sixties. I've also got Alpinist 19, 22-30 & 36-39 plus 14 old Off Belay mags dating back to 1975 and 19 old Summit mags also dating back to '75. Lastly a big ol pile of Climbing and Rock and Ice, 45 total. I'm open to offers on this stuff if anyone is interested, I do want to get rid of all of it at once tho, no piecing it out. I'm in Bellingham and local pick up would be best as there's a lot of weight and bulk here. Let me know what you all are thinkin. Paul

the plaque was carried up in a navy helicopter with the blessing of the nps.

the chopper that crashed (navy) was going after someone with a leg injury (broken?) as I remember. it went down killing several crew members and seriously injuring others. that set off another rescue that at first was hampered by bad weather but succesfully carried out after a day or so. i was on this mission as a mtn. rescue member but it was a long time ago and my memories not so good.

I'll have to admit I don't know. What is barred?

Good point. one bucket is all roof jugs. the other is mostly smaller holds. there are about 65 holds plus appx. 12 screw in foot jibs (with screws). about a dozen are roof type jugs, with another eight or so smaller jugs. the rest are jib type bolt-on holds. I can take a picture and e-mail it to you if that would help

I've got two five gallon buckets full of assorted climbing holds, appx. 100 tee nuts and mounting bolts for most of the holds. All this plus a Nicros hangboard for $150.00 I'm in Bellingham Paul 360-671-4531
