I will be climbing some fairly steep (50-60 degree)snow slopes along with some glacier travel. I bought an 8.5mm rope as recommended by the sales guy at REI. I want to confirm with others if it's okay to use a single half-rope in these situations. Any suggestions, recommendations, or advice would be helpful. Thanks, Justin
