Do many people do Muir this time of year? Can it be done car to car? What are the main risk factors? I'm hoping to try it for the first time whenever I can get to town this spring? Thanks for the info.

Is snow depth the factor as it relates to ease of movement over the terrain? Would additional precip make mid to late June a more reasonable time? Thanks.

Given decent weather, do average trail conditions in mid to late May make a car to car of the Mt. Adams south route doable? I'd be coming from MN and am wondering how ambitious of a plan this is?
