Men's Eider Commodore Jacket GORE-TEX® XCR Enium stretch 3-layer Material.
The Commodore is part of Eider's super technical 'Xenium' range. It's a waterproof alpine shell jacket using Gore's Stretch XCR fabric. The cut is short with articulated sleeves, plus the use of stretch fabric allows for a closer, more efficient fit which will help both breathability and thermal efficiency by removing air gaps.
100% welded seams. 3D. Integral hood. Adjustable height and depth with peak shape memory. Reinforced shoulders, elbows and wrists. Zipped ventilation system under flap. Semi-elastic cuffs with adjustable Velcro. Hem with adjustable cord. Chest pockets with waterproof zip. Net internal mesh pocket. The black strap is where you attach the hood when it's rolled up.
All in all though a very nice technical climbing shell.

VINTAGE COLUMBIA PARKA. They don't make them like this anymore.
If you look at the photo's you will see where one side zips up to the armpit for very easy on and off. The front also has a small zipper for making adjustments on clothes or harness without having to take off your jacket. It has a hood which folds inside the collar. It is NOT Gore-Tex but it is water resistant. Just an excellent all round multi-purpose parka.

Salomon employs a double lacing system enabling one to tweak and customize the degree of pressure around the foot. The inner boot automatically cinches when the tongue is pulled into place by gently pulling on a tab-loop on the boot’s tongue. The greater the pull, the greater the tightening action on the inner boot. However, not much tightening is required, as the outer boot lacing system augments the inner boot’s pressure. The outer lacing system provides uniform support around the entire ankle, without yanking the laces. ......just a slight tug is all that is needed for the desired effect.
