  1. I am looking at buying the Petrel Womens 10 F/-12.2C Bag from Feathered Friends. Any comments on that choice? I talked to a person @ the FF Store and he recommended that one as an all year round bag. Also, what about choosing the exterior sleeping bag fabric? Any suggestions?
  2. Okay, so I have been asking for lots of advice lately, but hey I have to learn somehow. I want to buy a sleeping bag that I can us year around. Is that possible? Next, who is better at making sleeping bags: Mountain Hardware or Marmot? Are there any other reputible brands? What about down fill? Any recommendations for a good bag? I am hoping that I can find a light weight bag too!
  3. Thanks for all the input everyone. I went to Mountain Gear in Spokane and bought a Petzl Corvax harness. It is so comfortable. I really like it. It has the 4 loops, is comfortably padded, and I don't have to double back . It sounds close to the one Flatlander1 was describing.
  4. Where do I get it?
  5. I was wondering if Gore-Tex gear needs to be treated/conditioned after a certain period of time? If so how do I treat it or what do I buy to treat it with?
  6. Okay, I PM'd you back.
  7. Older than 20? Hmmm. Then I am 10! MCash thanx for the Link!
  8. I have tried several times to get information on how to join and have tried to call and talk to someone who knows more, but all they did was reffer me to the web site for the Spokane Mountaineers. Most of the information is outdated. Anyhow, thanx for the suggestion, I will keep trying. However, my offer to meet/talk with people still stands.
  9. LOL, OOPs! Thanks for the fix!
  10. No, I am looking for persons who want to go adventure seeking. Anything from whitewater rafting, to telemarking, to possibly climbing Mt. Raineer. I just want to make some friends who want to challenge/enjoy the outdoors with me. So why is it so hard to find people? Or get in the with the crowd?
  11. Thanks for the input. I'll be keeping my eye open for one. The shop I like to go to is Mountain Gear, in Spokane Wa.
  12. I am located in CDA. I am into all kinds of activities. I really enjoy the outdoors. If you want a list of things that I have done or can do: Whitewater rafting, horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, and more. Right now I am focusing on telemarking, and am entertaining the idea of starting to climb/mountaineer. I am open to any new activities, I just don't know many people who are outdoorsy so my activities tend to limit themselves fast. If I get into an activity and really enjoy it, I really like to go hard core.
  13. Hi, I was wondering what would be a good climbing harness for me, a beginner climber. I intend on advancing my skill quickly so I was wondering if it is possible to out grow a harness technically or if a harness is a harness is a harness.
  14. Okay, Thank you.
  15. Hi, I live in North Idaho and I wanted to get to know some more outdoor oriented people my age. If anyone would like to respond, I think that would be great! Have a great day!
