Fabric- quite nice in terms of warmth and windproofness. Pretty water-resistant, but once wet, gets heavy and takes a long time to dry out. Similar to Powershield I think. I'm using it for daytrips skiing but not for overnite trips when weight a bigger issue. Fit- I had to return my first jacket for more room in the shoulders and tighter in the waist. But great customer service- a pleasure to work with a responsive small company. tom
