  2. sweet! Thanks!
  3. is there anything like this in Oregon??? central oregon would be preferred...?
  4. I want to get back into ice climbing...i still have boots, tools and crampons but don't have rope, or screws...I also don't know where (if any) to go around central oregon...would love some insight as well as any groups or clubs that meet in this area... thanks
  5. I live in Bend and have been out of climbing (all kinds) for a few years. I am looking for a mentor that has a passion for the mountains that is willing to have a fast learning, very safe oriented, willing partner for oregon cascade climbs and hopefully some ice this winter and spring! Please feel free to email me or msg me on here... sethwhite01@hotmail.com Let's get out! seth
  6. sorry i must have read it wrong...
  7. i'm down...either of you! about the same levels. never done aid climbing before...willing to learn. but i don't have a car...but i REALLY need to get out as much as possible! let me know!
  8. oh and the apex bionic retails for $129 so a sale of $128 doesn't save you a whole lot! the Apex magic runs at $149 and carries a lifetime warrantee.
  9. the apex bionic has a weatherbloc laminant in it making it 100%wind proof but not fully water proof. not good for aerobic activities its more of a jacket for around town looking like you're into the outdoors. but also made by tnf is the apex magic jacket which is made with apex universal rather than the weatherbloc. it is about 80% wind proof and extremely water resistant. not as warm as the bionic but an excellent soft shell non the less. it has completely welded seams and has more of a performance fit rather than the standard fit of the bionic. hope that helps!

    need a job!

of course! why would you even bother asking? but those things just scratch the surface of my capabilities! so you still wanna hire me? or do i have to prove myself?
  11. i'm looking for some experienced (more than I) climbers to get out with and just learn from (from watching and then doing) not a class room type setting or teacher student. if you're looking for someone of some competence to go with i would love to get out to do anything! indoor, ice, alpine, even just snowshoeing or hiking. i'm game, but need a car and a partner! would like to find someone to maybe go regularily with!

  16. yeah sorry about the misinformation...i have a pre-released copy and it was my understanding that they were out last fall??? but i must have been misinformed...hope it gets out this summer...lots of new bolts and routes!
  17. oops...just in case you didn't figure it out...that's two completely different climbing spots...shady hollow can be accessed much easier from the base and walk up and orange wall is usually better approached from the top but can be reached from the bottom!
  18. one of my favs is also one that is rarely visited...(and i've climbed at erie alot)... would be orange wall or shady hollow...and by the way there is a new mt erie guide book that came out last summer that you should try to look into getting...the old one sucks and is outdated and the ratings are bunk...but yeah...check out those two spots...there are 9's 10's and 11's there (11's are at orange wall i believe) hope this helps!

If you're up for taking me along on your trips or adding a few trips to your itinerary to help me gain some more experience that would be rad! PM me, email me (sethwhite01 at hotmail.com) or phone (206.369.6856) I was the guy in the brown hoodie and shorts at the picnic...i didn't meet many of you but would still like to get out and climb with you if you're up for it!
