summitted south side on sunday, 4/10. fine viz. schrund was closed. pearly gates in good condition, not too steep, after all that snow last 2 weeks. summitted at 9am, suprisingly wind free. i think conditions were a lot easier than party who went up on sat. have fun if you go up.

it doesn't look like there's a section for european TRs. what's up with this board ?

this past sat., got to 9700'. started at the lakes, yes, the scramble up to the snow is a little irksome, but didn't take too long. got on the whitewater, headed east. stayed high, to be above crevasses. climbed over two, which "seemed to be" filled in enough. it is a bit like a shooting gallery up there. left camp @ 5 am, turned around @ 10:30, as thought downclimbing steeper slopes might be a problem....snow was getting soft and sniper fire increasing. gorgeous day, should have started earlier. drank tequilla back at the camp anyway.

Anyone been up Mount Jefferson recently ? There is some rock exposed on the Whitewater that needs protection, easy 5.7 maybe ? , and not sure what size/type gear to bring. As for the pinnacle, would slings be the most appropriate anchor material ? This might all be a moot point, as weather is looking pretty crappola, but you never know.....
