  1. I asked for reliable sources, not more gossip. The following may or may not be reliable, but it is referenced.

     

    On May 14, 1943 a Lockheed PV-1 Ventura, Bureau Number (BuNo) 33142, which operated out of NAS Seattle, crashed into Mount Rose, in the Olympic National Forest in Washington State, roughly 40 miles west of Seattle.   2. I have followed the debris trail all the way up to the precise point of impact. I found many interesting artifacts along the way.

     

    I have always been curious about the history of the accident. I never did ask the Forest Service or the Park about it though. Has anybody found reliable facts?
