  1. What about Dynafit? It's the lightest alpine touring set up on the planet and rips just like the rest of them. I have 2001 All Terrain boots in stock and have your size at an unbeatable price...email me if interested. timk@life-link.com
  2. Thanks for participating in the race you guys. It was a great event and was really neat for me to see the Northwest join in on the leading edge of the (possible) boom in this type of sport in the US. The conditions were classic Northwest, and as I drove out of town the next day on a rare bluebird day...I realized what a different race it would have been had we done it a day later.....that's (racing in) the cascades. Great Job to Lowell. Andrew has been living the world class ski mountaineer life...and rumor has it Lowell has been living the Dad and desk life. We hope to put more races of this kind on next year as it is more the getting together of the backcountry ski community than racing...and that was acheived to a degree on Sunday. Here's hoping next year will be even better. Practice getting the skins on and off and your turns with skins on...for next year.
  3. Any of you Cascade boys and girls know much about backcountry skiing? Well the Life-Link / Dynafit Randonnee Rally at Alpental this Sunday (Mar. 31) is the place to test your skills and fitness. The up, down, up, down....race leaves the ski area looping through the Alpental backcountry and back to the finish line at the base. There are more prizes than racers....with Marmot Sleeping Bags, Life-Link ski poles, Dynafit Skis and Boots and prizes from Petzl, Raichle, Cloudveil and many more......And the Pizza and Beer will flow all afternoon. 4. Erik, Great thought! The Alpental race was added to the race series as a fund raiser for the Friends of the Northwest Avalanche Center which helps raise awareness and funding to keep the Northwest Weather and Avalanche Hotline and Center afloat. The goal was to give the profits to the NW Avy Center. It will take a lot of racers to raise a profit, but we here at Life-Link will keep trying as we do for all the Avalanche Awareness Centers, Schools and campaigns around the nation. As I recently moved from Seattle to Jackson, Alpental and the Cascades was my first thought for the broadening of the Randonnee Rally race series....my interest in promoting it is to show that the Northwest has some legendary skiers and is a great host for this type of race...I'm really hoping you all prove me right.
