Something is lost when you make it too easy. Some people choose routes with long approaches simply for the solitude they provide. This definately wouldn't fly in the lower 48, since most (if not all) of the national parks prohibit private aircraft in their airspace. You need look no further than Alaska though, as heli/plane-mountaineering already exists on many levels throughout that state. [This message has been edited by sandon (edited 06-19-2001).]
