  1. Dru, thanks for the advice. 5.10 seems to make some synthetic shoes. The anastazi and the newton are synthetic, but i think i see some leather on the newton =(. Anyway, does anyone have experience with the anastazi? Is it comfy? good for a newbie? An all-around happy shoe?
  2. Hello, I am a beginner climber who also happens to be vegetarian(which means no leather for me). My problem is: all the reviews of the few synthetic shoes that I know of are vague(at least to me they are). The reviews dont mention comfort or clearly outline pros and cons of the individual shoes. What synthetic shoes would be good for a beginner who wants to participate in all aspects of climbing? I do a lot of climbing in the gym; however, this spring I plan on venturing forth to some rocks and trying my hand at that. I am also very interested in bouldering. Comfort is an important aspect(as may have been ascertained above). I want a shoe that I can use all day with minor pain(at most) while climbing. Thanks for any help provided. Confused newbie, Brandon Guy
