  1. Just wondering how it is getting up to the the notch in the ridge. Any BS to deal with on the glacier. I'm assuming the snow gully is out, and climbing one of the bypass notches is required. Also wondering if there are any snow patches up by the bivy sites near the notch. Thanks!
  2. Found a base layer up there last Monday. If its yours let me know and I'll get it back to you. I'm located in seattle.
  3. Were there any other snow patches on route other than the summit snow patch? How about on the way down? Prob heading up there tomorrow. Thanks.
  4. Anybody have a porta-ledge they aren't using"? I can't promise it'll go up a grade VII wall but it'll at least get some good trips to the valley. Thanks
  5. Had to bail on an attempt to climb the upper half of the north ridge yesterday. My partner and I had hoped we could get to the climb in approach shoes with crampons but the approach gully was still entirely snowed in and too steep to safely climb without boots (maybe even 2 axes). It might have softened some later in the day, but at 11am it was still rock hard. There is also snow almost all the way from Ingalls pass to the base of the climb. There are sporadic small snow patches left on the ridge.
  6. I hope this isn't too spammy: I am the foreman for a local tree service and we are looking to bring on another ground-person. This is related to climbing because doing this job is how you work your way up to climbing trees (if you are interested in that). We are a safety oriented crew who pride ourselves in doing excellent work for our clients. Things you need: To be dependable A drivers license and good driving record (no CDL needed) Strong work ethic Good attitude towards safety and working with others The job will be full time during peak season (May-October) then some part time on the bookends and plan on having the winter off (dec, jan, feb). Our shop is located in the Rainier Valley If you are interested please send me a PM and we can discuss it further. Thanks Allen
