Washington Pass conditions?

Recommended Posts

Hi. I'm wondering what the freezing level was like in the Cascades the last few days.

Here in Squamish/Whistler the clouds have broke showing a very healthy dusting of snow above 6000'

If this is the same there, I'm afraid it could shut down the climbing in the Liberty group for us this weekend, or at least increase the commitment level required.

This time of year rain in the lowlands can mean snow in the mountains, and short days and cooler temps make it slower to melt off than in the summer.

Mountain-forecast.com can be a useful mountain weather forecast tool: Liberty Bell forecast example

Warm and dry up there this past weekend, all the new snow was long gone, even on Friday. New snow on the way later this week though....
