num1mc
In the summer, can they help with wildfires? Â They are in some states like Alaska, Minnesota and Florida where they have swamp, bog and muskeg fires. Most of the machines pictured here are four tracked Tuckers. Most of the machines used to carry tools or retardents are two tracked Bombardiers, Thiokol/DMC/LMC, Formost or Nodwell. Â Tucker is used for North Slope and draught work. num1mc
Â Â My favorite machine there, a '81 Tucker resurrected from the Hyak heap pile. It has a classic Detroit 4-53. Â They started making the 4-53 in about 1940, and ended production in the late eighties Edited January 27, 2015 by num1mc
