stevetimetravlr Posted April 5, 2014 Share Posted April 5, 2014 There used to be a old mine near the start of the trailhead to Lake Serene at the base of Index. It was so interesting. It had long passageways, vertical and horizontal shafts, angling shafts, multi level cave-ins, wood walk ways over deep pits, and an amazing room with a log with a rope hung from it on the ceiling that continued up what looks like a vent shaft, scary. Last time I was up there I tried to find it, but they have rerouted the whole parking area, and where I think the entrance used to be hidden, it is gone. Does anyone know, did they seal it up?
