Big thumbs up on Selkirk Lodge. The terrain is outstanding and if the schedule on their website is current you'll be skiing with a top notch guide that week. I'll be going there in early March for my 8th consecutive year.

In the interest of full disclosure, saying it has "indoor plumbing" is a little bit of a stretch. Water is from snow melted on the woodstove. There's a pee-only toilet on the 2nd floor of the lodge and there are 2 propane fired outhouses. It's still quite civilized, just not what most would consider indoor plumbing.

Just adding this great write up another friend posted for me...Two of my good friends have to back out of hut trip at Selkirk Lodge at the end of March because of an injury. The dates are Sat. March 22nd to Sat. March 29th. They are GIVING up their slots for a great price $1,500.00 each. My experience is that these kind of trips are usually $2k to 3k each person. Trip includes:

Heli in and out of Lodge

Guided and Catered

2 guides

10 clients

5 women, 3 guys, mid '40s

Lodge has 2,3 and 4 person bedroom options, indoor plumbing, some internet access

I have skied with all of these people except two. They are a fun, strong, but not extreme skiing group with lot's of experience. Advanced but not hucking any cornices. Creamy, big mountain powder turns are on the menu and Selkirk Lodge is having a great year snow wise, I hear. The two guides are very experienced. Look them up: Scott Davis ACMG (he has been one of the main Rogers Pass avy forecasters forever and the main guide @ Selkirk Lodge for a long time) and Anne Keller, AMGA + ACMG, who I have skied with and is super awesome and fun! (Google her, add "ski" after her name)

So, if you can't go, please, at least, pass the word. If you can go, let me know and I'll put you in touch with the folks you need to talk to. Thanks!

Have not been so the above post may give a good definition of indoor plumbing :)
