top 10 presidential lies of the past 100 years - go!

what i got off the top of my head:

"read my lips, no new taxes"

"i am not a crook"

"i did not have sex with that woman"

"we will be greeted as liberators"

gotta be more gold to mine there...

Those were the exact ones that came to mind at first glance for me.

Here's another Politifact call-out:

Yet another Obama lie

Obama said health premiums in the last two years went up slower than any time in the past five decades

Why not keep it "fair and balanced" and post up all the Repub lies as well? Certainly, even someone as biased and closed minded as yourself can admit they lie at least as much as our non birth certificated Muslim prez?

Oh, wait, that might be asking a bit much from our resident CC righty extremo sprayer commando in chief...

Well, if you and your fellow lefty nutjobs would step back and do a little self assessment from time to time, my services here wouldn't be necessary. Sorry I interrupted your circlejerk. BTW, when is the last time you posted fair-and-balanced? I've regularly criticized the Rs--most recently when they pulled that idiotic govt shutdown. How about you, Fairguy?

Fair enough... I don't trust Obama and the dems any more than I do the R's. Good enough, tough guy?

"services here" - If you are referring to the entertainment value of your rants, then, thank you for your "service". Otherwise, that is pretty rich, indeed... Services. :lmao:

Um, if you could provide an example of this, that'd be great. I really don't mind libs so much, but I do hold a pretty high degree of contempt for libs who pose as "moderates." The sad thing is how often they end up believing their own faux persona. You and Rob both come to mind here. Now, as you were, Fairguy. :noway:

Hard to say. Still, I'd put Obama's "if you like the insurance you have, you can keep it (period)" head and shoulders above anything on Ivan's list. I think history will record it this way too.

Of course, Woodrow's lie was the costliest...

Come on now over "I am not a crook" and/or "Read my lips, no new taxes" both are bald face lies above and beyond the semantics of "you can keep your healthcare"...

I'm not defending Obama's lie, just saying it is a bit less straight forward than the other two.

failed promises do mean more then they were the cornerstone of your platform.

Obamacare was the cornerstone of his entire domestic agenda. I'd say the lie he told to get that one last vote in the Senate was far more damnable than any campaign promise. This is why the public no longer supports the ACA, and it is the reason his approval numbers are now as low as GW's.

Obamacare was the cornerstone of his entire domestic agenda.

universal healthcare was the cornerstone of his domestic agenda, not the specific piece of legislation that has come to be called obamacare that was the product of the divided government system our Supremely Brilliant Founders cooked up and that so frequently fails to please any of the parties participating in it :)
