Scary how big Goldendale fire is - clear night let us see the flames, then by sunrise smoke clogged most of the valley up to and touching Helens. Firm, suncupped neve in the early hours had us frenching up a teensy bit but melted pretty quick. Kids behind us were kicking steps... EZ snow bridge over one crack or follow other zags between cracks. piece of the cake. What's up with the bandana pole and you all know that the summit isn't at the shack right?
