Does anyone need to be reminded that Bush actually did fuck this country up the ass across the board? That tool left no stone unturned.

"I'll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office." —President Bush, in an interview with the Jerusalem Post, Washington, D.C., May 12, 2008

The GOP line is to vote stupid - cut State Dept funding, vote against the auto bailout - then blame the other side those who voted smart when shit goes south (Libya), or pretend they were in on it all along (auto bailout).

Every politician lies a bit. GOP politicians don't know how NOT to lie...ever.

Plus, they fucking don't do shit on the job. Talk about welfare - obstructionism isn't doing your job. If we really did run government like a business, the entire GOP would have gotten pink slips a long time ago for non-performance.

For all their talk about patriotism - the least American trait out there and, lets face, nothing more than a bludgeon for the viscious - the GOP doesn't give two shits about the Constitution, either. Seperation of church and state (abortion)? Equal protection under the law (same sex marriage AND abortion). LET'S TALK ABOUT MOM, APPLE PIE AND HOMECOMING QUEENS.

What a complete bowl full of decidedly un-American asshats.

Meh, it all depends on who is in office. When Bush was in office, he could say the sky is blue in a news conf, Fox news would report that the President said the sky was blue, MSNBC would report that the president eats puppies, scientists say the weather is getting warmer, quagmire in Iraq and oh ya the Preident was kind of sure the sky was blue. I'm sure now that Obama is in office, you can reverse that completely.

The news is not news anymore, it is a reality TV show trying to score ratings. Foreign news is so much better than our news it is stupid.

CNN: unbiased and unloved.

After its boy got his ass handed to him, FOX is back on the 'librul media bias' bandwagon. If Romney's polls dip, they'll crank up their BIAS ALERTS there too...again.

Conservatives have always been America's whiniest (their entire movement is characterized by what the don't like). Fox magnifies this trait TIMES A THOUSAND.

It can be fun to deconstruct spin.

Today’s FOXNEWS headline (in their typical HUGE CAPITALIZED FONT – you know, for emphasis):

SORRY, MR. PRESIDENT CANDY ADMITS…ROMNEY WAS RIGHT

That’s not, of course, what really happened:

From CNN, who interviewed Crowley afterwards:

'For the record, she also used almost the exact same words last night, debunking Romney’s “act of terror” claim in the same breath that she said he was right about the administration's delayed response: " He -- he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take -- it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that."'

Crowley correctly debunked the ‘terror’ part of Romney’s claim while supporting his ‘two week’ statement – right during the debate.

Paul Ryan and right wing media are attempting to paint this as ‘backtracking’, even to the point of claiming that Crowley has admitted to making a mistake. She has done no such thing in post debate interviews.

This is not a difficult thing to get straight – the transcripts are all there – unless you don’t want to.

In the end, the whole thing is a manufactured issue. A president should never shoot from the hip after an attack like that one in Libya before solid intelligence indicates what happened and why. It takes time to gather that intelligence.

Amirite?

I'm creating a one dimensional graphic model of the FOX spin process for my graduate thesis in virtual gastroenterological philosophy.

It's probably beyond any of you.

why you woulda edited out so sonorous a metaphor as "a bowl full of assholes" is beyond me :)
