Climbed the N Ridge last weekend. The closest fire is in the Eightmile Lake area. There was no fire on Cashmere, as far as I could tell. As long as the prevailing wind was coming from the west, there was no smoke. Smoke wasn't an issue for our trip, and if the current forecast holds true, you should be fine.

We were up there about 6:00 Friday evening, we were going to climb Stuart Saturday but the smoke was terrible. We hiked up to Ingalls Pass (?) since we had come all the way out there but the smoke was so bad you could barely see across the valley looking south. The moon came out later and it looked like a slice of an orange hanging in the sky. You could actually taste the smoke in your mouth. I feel sorry for the people who live over there!

We bailed on the climb, the closer you get to the fires the worse the smoke is because there is no wind to blow the smoke away, it's just piling up.
