red Posted February 17, 2002 Share Posted February 17, 2002 I read in Alex’s guide book some climbs near blue wood. Blue wood is only about an hour away so I checked it out this weekend. Lots of potential but warm conditions during the day 40* caused what little ice there to be extremely brittle. But we did play on some 60-75 deg consol snow slopes, kinda wet. Anyway what kind of conditions would they need in the next week or two so some of the free hanging cicles can build some girth.
