Rad
Hoping to take the kids over for a dose of rock and sunshine. Thx. R
Burke M
A friend was down there last weekend and said Eight Mile still had snow on the ground... Not sure how much though.
Dave A.
Eightmile and Bridge Creek CG are now open, and collecting fees. The campground host is in place at Eightmile CG.
ilookeddown
8 mile and Bridge Creek were both full by Friday evening last weekend. The others further down were closed and the road still had snow on it.
AlpineThrutcher
There was not much snow on the ground at either 8-mile or the Bridge Creek campgrounds last weekend. I don't think 8-mile is officially open until Apr. 29th? Just curious, anybody know what the private event camping at 8-mile last weekend was about? Dave A.
Last weekend there was a large group of mounties at 8mile CG. Lots of empty sites on Wed. afternoon. Road was barricaded .3 mi. past 4th July TH, but with the warming that will be moved or removed soon.
ilookeddown
That was a very big group. I don’t think they had the entire camp ground reserved for themselves but the gate was closed but not locked. I assume the camp host did it once the campground filled up.
Rad
Thanks for all your help. We drive through the gates at Bridge Creek. Shared a sprawling site with a variety of parties on Friday night, and left Saturday. No fee paid. It's lovely over there now. Enjoy.
