WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Beautiful weekend (22-23rd) on the Sandy glacier?

Recommended Posts

I have been look at the west side of Hood for too long (winter)

Looking for a climber who is open to the option of a bivy below the Sandy head wall.

If you need to ask it might not be your cup of tea

Thanks.

I just got a good question via PM

Why a bivy?

There are a lot of chooses once we are in the glacier basin and a Bivouac would give us options.

I would also be interested in a one day run-up

Is that your cup of tea...

Its easily doable in a day with an early start so you dont have to carry all the bivvy gear but it is a beautiful location and you are very likely to be there all by yourself.

Unless I do the circumnav.
