prussik1
As you all have seen on NWAC we have had some considerable and high avalanche ratings. On Saturday on the South side, elev. 7100, west of Sand Canyon did some analysis and propagated a column at a CTE 1, Q 1@15cm on a East facing aspect. Had further propagation at 30cm, CTE 12 Q1. Also witnessed three locations of cornice collapse, from 7100ft down to 6000ft. On Rainier on Sunday, had a CTE 8 Q2 at 5800ft on a 28deg slope, north facing aspect. Time for conservative route selection, folks!
