genepires Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 which one of your things is the felted mouse slippers? Is that what tele gear looks like? No wonder you want to get out of tele-ing. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Both the Kongurs and TM22 are actually great skis - better for spring, obviously. The Kongurs are decent in crud, too. Rivas are as light a tely setup as it comes...good for traverses, of which I've done a few here and there along the way. For the Ptarmigan in May, that's all (the weight) you need. In general, people ski too wide (and heavy) a ski these days. Great for that powder that most working stiffs can't take advantage of but a few days a year, but 90 - 100 underfoot is really where its at most of the time around here. Quote
ScottP Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I've owned the TM's and skied the Kongurs. Both are decent skis. The Rivas? Not a big fan, especially without risers. $50 for either pair of skis, and another $50 for some good, used Targas or Hardwires and you've got yourself a respectable tele rig. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 bump for more gear added Quote
