Both the Kongurs and TM22 are actually great skis - better for spring, obviously. The Kongurs are decent in crud, too.

 

Rivas are as light a tely setup as it comes...good for traverses, of which I've done a few here and there along the way. For the Ptarmigan in May, that's all (the weight) you need.

 

In general, people ski too wide (and heavy) a ski these days. Great for that powder that most working stiffs can't take advantage of but a few days a year, but 90 - 100 underfoot is really where its at most of the time around here.

I've owned the TM's and skied the Kongurs. Both are decent skis.

The Rivas? Not a big fan, especially without risers.

$50 for either pair of skis, and another $50 for some good, used Targas or Hardwires and you've got yourself a respectable tele rig.
