CascadeClimber
Yes, yes, Victory Ridge Direct. I suggest that you take some of the new Omega Choss-Screws. Like maybe 300 or so. Seriously, though. Get to the North side of the mountain. It's like a whole different volcano there. The North ridge is entertaining and (though I haven't done it) the Adams glacier is supposed to be fun, too. -CC
Climzalot
I have had the chance to wander up a route on both sides of Mt Adams and given the chance to pick a route I would definitely choose one on the north side and if your are up for it the Adams Glacier route. Although it is not terribly difficult, the terrain is more complex and/or interesting than some of the other routes in the neighborhood. It is not quite on the same level as say the North Ridge or Coleman headwall on Baker it is unique and challenging in its own way. Well worth while. Guest
Going to do Mt. Adams with Mountain Madness (already did the basic course in Boston Basin) Any suggestions on which route to do? (experience level is intermediate to advanced). Thx
highclimb
The south spur was the first Alpine climb i ever did. i dont recommend it just because its isnt technical at all (1000ft of snow to 30 degrees and alot of hiking) but i have heard good things about the Adams glaicer and maybe you might concider the Lava Glacier Headwall. Jim Nelson talks about it in his new book. Aidan
Rodchester
D-elvis, Are you guiding for Mountain Madness or being guided by Mountain Madness? If you are being guided, are you doing a custom trip? If it is not a custom trip, I believe that M2 usually does the Adams Glacier route. ------------------ Have a nice day.
