prussik1 Posted January 30, 2012 Share Posted January 30, 2012 Attempted Cayambe solo on Christmas. Winds 40 mph, clear skies at beginning of climb. Turned around at 16,800 due to snow and weather moving in, upon descent slab avalanche on south-southwest facing slope,@170 degrees, probably 50 yards from me.
