Karl_S
Any beta on conditions and approaches to Mt Stuart for a July 4 climb?
KaskadskyjKozak
Â Check Alpine Lakes forum - there are a couple recent trip reports.
kevino
Probably would help to give more info about what route you would be climbing and your approach. Â I ran into a couple attempting the SGC on 6/20. No snow at the junction with Colchuck lake.
cam yarder
as of last Thursday, June 16, the Stuart Glacier 'schrund is passable via a short mixed step. The Sherpa Glacier 'schrund is just starting to open up but has a nice snow bridge over it. Approach up the creek is relatively straightforward, flotation not required. ymmv. ClimbAndSki
I added a trip report for our trip last weekend. Conditions were great (fyi:We did climb from the basin below sherpa, but the upper half of the route is the same) Edited June 30, 2011 by ClimbAndSki
