lummox
Lots of homeless out camping. And most of those carry huge packs or push a cart. No effing clue about the whole lightweight packing revolution that's happened. Recommendations? Umbrella Puffy coat Beanie Wet wipes insulated mug Messenger bag or daypack Elephant's foot bag Micro tarp Gym membership card Bus pass
genepires
every year the same homeless guy, who just got off the alaska ferry, would come into the AAI shop in bellingham to buy one piece of gear to make his homeless life better. He was real stoked when he got a msr cookpot. He lugged a half full dufflebag on his annual migration to and from AK. Fairly LW for your typical homeless dude. lummox
I was running this idea past some people. Some shift in thinking by and of the homeless would need to occur. By handing out complete kits packaged on trendy bike messenger bags, a whole Makeover can be accomplished.I'll call them "Hip bags" and it will be hip to be homeless. Now all I need is my own nonprofit to fund the project and line my bank account.
chris54
You need to get in touch with the "three cups of tea" dude. He will teach you how to scam the public and set up your "for profit" non-profit.
denalidave
I read in another thread you can get all the free gear you want at pretty much any trail head, just smash and grab...
