WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Wine, Beer, or Whiskey?

Recommended Posts

Hey, What's yer stereotype?

from http://www.healthscout.com/According to the Journal of Substance Abuse:

  • Wine drinkers tend to be college-educated and drink in moderation, usually with meals.
  • Beer drinkers tend to have limited educations. They usually drink at times other than meal time.
  • Whiskey drinkers tend to hang out at bars.
  • Wine cooler drinkers don't fit patterns as well as the others, but are usually single and have limited educations. They usually drink when feeling very stimulated, very happy, very romantic.

How stereotypical of those people to sterotype that way.

HOO HOO!!! At least I'm not sterotypical. I have a college edumakashun and drink moderate amounts of beer at meals. [chubit] BTW, I make my own beer! [big Drink] I lift a pint to all non stereotypes. [big Drink]

Listen: if your going to be drinking Mekong River Whiskey you might as well drink a pint at the minimum. Make sure you poision yourself all the way; don't want to suffer. While talking about sterotyping: I recall a recent thread that brutalized Telemark skiers as "ass-holes". Not fair, unamerican slander?

I lived in Thailand while I was in College on an exchange program. My host Father would not even drink Mekong River Whiskey....he enjoyed Johnny Walker Black! He told me the "Mekong for crazy Man."

This is RURP:

Whiskey is for babies. Real men take a big drink of their first urine of the day. Real hard men take a drink of their Big Wall buddy's first urine of the day. (with a metal sierra cup or similar thing of course). The urine of a pregnant woman is full of protein and especially good for training. It can be kept in a nalgene bottle in the refrigerator for several days but do not freeze. Maybe this doesn't work for everyone so don't blame me if you get sick.

RURP has spoken.

I start my day with the morning paper, while taking a big dump. I find a cup of coffee with a shot of Jamieson's helps the movement. Later, I have a sandwich and a glass of Thunderbird. Usually two Roilaids to follow. With dinner, I like some tasty Ripple or Annie Greensprings, followed by a bowl of B.C. bud. A quick shot of Scope before bed and it's lights out.
