I think we should name all the cascade volcanos by their indian name. that would sure be a big honor to the local native indians. so the north peak is still hunter? There is a lot wrong about that press release - the South Peak of Mount Hunter is not the highest unnamed peak in Alaska (some would say it already has a name, but if we're only to consider official names, the North Peak of Mount McKinley is more than a mile higher than the South Peak of Mount Hunter and doesn't have an offical name), the summit elevation of the South Peak of Mount Hunter is 13966 feet (not 13895 feet), etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
