Farrgo
Anybody know a good shop to buy topo maps in Vancouver, BC? Need a pretty obscure quad, so a well-stocked shop is a must. -Nate
murraysovereign
What area are you needing maps for?
robpatterson5
geogratis.ca, all the NTS topomaps you buy from the store and datasets are in the public domain. Just print what you need from the Topo on waterproof paper and go Edited July 21, 2010 by robpatterson5
Farrgo
Geogratis is the ticket. Thanks for the reply. I wish we had something like that for the states (we don't do we?).

jshamster
USGS topos are public domain as well. This is one source: http://libremap.org/. I believe there are others.

Need a pretty obscure quad, so a well-stocked shop is a must. -Nate If you don't have access to a plotter and waterproof paper, International Travel Books & Maps in Richmond carries all the in-print 1:50K topos. itmb.com You can buy the NTS 1:50K topos directly from Natural Resources Canada nrcan.gc.ca Finally you can access the 1:20K BC TRIM maps for BC online at maps.gov.bc.ca There's a link in there if you need to buy paper maps the iMapBC app has logging road locations, though not conditions, updated to almost current conditions (2009)
