hancockdn Posted June 15, 2010 Share Posted June 15, 2010 this september me and my wife are headed down to yosemite for the first time, we will have a little over two weeks. any valley veterans have advice: what is the best guide book, what climbs are a must(5.10 and down), anything else you think someone should know. Off_White Posted June 15, 2010 Share Posted June 15, 2010 For mid to long popular routes, get an alpine start. On some of those DD listed it's best to be the first party of the day, especially East Butt of Middle, lots of potential for party inflicted rockfall. If you don't want to stay at Camp 4, you can cruise the other campgrounds looking for someone with only one car in their site who might be willing to share.
