Jamie
Has anyone been to "Far Side" lately? Was the rock dry? Thanks for whatever input. I'm anxious to get over there, but don't know what to expect this time of year.
OrganDonor
I was there 2 weeks ago, a couple days after a rain. It was dry at "headlight point" and the "eastern block". Probably due to the wind that rips through there. You should be good to go.
Rad
East facing crags tend to dry fast, but watch the forecast. Winds out of the East funnel in and rip through the areas that are not in the woods, making some annoying conditions. Other crags will be more sheltered from wind but will seep longer. ilookeddown
We were at little si today and it was dry. Well at least until it started to rain. This time of year I would wait 24 hours for it to dry out. Like Rad siad the east facing does dry out fastest if you do not mind the wind. Jamie
Thanks guys, I guess we are putting off X-38 this week end to go do Mt. St. Helens. I'll let you know how that goes, if you are interested. We plan to bivy up high Friday night and summit Saturday and come out.
