I'm sure some nutjobs have pulled it off, but wow, one slip and you're a permanent Elliot Glacier red spot. Â The French guys skied off the North Face proper, steeper than the spur, about 25 or so years ago. Â Anselm Baud and Patrick Vallencourt came through here showing off the film of their amazing ski down the 50 degree north side of Mt Blanc.....then Sylvia Syvain...or sy...something......hmmmm....somebody google it, I think he'd already done it. Joe_Poulton Posted February 26, 2010 Share Posted February 26, 2010 A guy I know from Boulder Snowboarded about 3/4 of it a few years back and launched a 30ft air at some spot....I plan to ski with my Motocross DOT approved full face helmet...make a few turns at the start and if the snow is good then straight shoot it...because you only fall at the beginning of a turn anyway...so, if I don't turn, I don't fall.....actually, I don't know how I'll ski it until I get there. After 14 tries, We finally got the Center Drip done on the Black Spider. Thanks you guys for the pics and the stoke. I left a few details on my blog.
