mcgee
I'm hoping to ski Shasta this weekend and would like to know which route would offer the best snow, which trailhead leads to it, and whether there are any fees and how to pay them. Any advice would be appreciated.
gregor
Hands down the best ski on the mountain this time of year is the "Hot-Tun", where the Hotlum and Wintun glaciers meet. The top is nice and a bit steeper. The lower 2/3rds is consistent and killer! You access it on the Brewer Creek trailhead. There is a self pay system at the trailhead. They charge for parking and charge each person a summit fee. I think it is $5 for the car and $15 per person. Rip it up!
