WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Expenses Paid for Experienced Rainier Team Member

Recommended Posts

We are are a group of climbers planning a late July ascent via Camp Muir and Disappointment Cleaver. Although there is good experience in the group, including prior summits on Rainier via this route, we feel that a more seasoned climber would be an asset. Do you know of anyone who might be interested?

I understand one of the major problems...zero communication skills.

Anyone who takes a moment to seriously answer this "ad" will want to be very aware that guiding on Rainier without a permit is illegal and seriously enforced by FEDERAL LE with big fines and jail time on conviction. Same for all the National parks. Rightfully so imo. Accepting "expenses" might be viewed unkindly by the park service.

Walks like a duck.....smells like a duck....

Need to make it like Germany/Austria where the most experienced member of the party (guide or not) can be held legally responsible if an accident occurs.
