Pete_H
"In Washington, they sometimes say that those of us in Appalachia need help because we're not very smart. Well, we're smart enough to know that only God can change the earth's temperature - not Al Gore." Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship speaking over the weekend at the West Virginia for the Friends of America Rally and free concert (also featuring Sean Hannity, Hank Williams, Jr., and Ted Nugent). JosephH
Well, it certainly explains why 'those in Appalachia' allow their mountain tops and watersheds to be destroyed to benefit wealthy republicans living outside of Appalachia. Don Blankenship has been buying politicians and judges in WV for years. He's old school. P.S. And isn't it amazing that "that only God can change the earth's temperature", but a mere Don Blankenship can destroy entire mountains. TarHeelEMT
Appalachia is a craaaaaazy place. It's fun, though, and anything homogeneous in people and culture. Totally different breed from us Piedmont rednecks.
