neswstar
Okay - I have never been up on this side of Rainier before. Looking to do the route with 3 pitches of snow. Wondering, is it is snow or ice up there and if anyone has been up recently and can share with me what they used for protection (other than bug spray and sunscreen). Any info appreciated - including where to eat on the way home...... Thank you Edited August 13, 2009 by neswstar
TMO
Sadly the Carbonado Saloon has closed their doors but there is always the ol' Pick and Shovel in Wilkeson. I did the scramble route recently, so I don't have much beta other than to STRONGLY suggesting the Knapsack Pass route for both the approach and descent.
