Havent been..I suspect nothing is available there..go check out Scottish Tale and reprt back. I went up a month or so ago and there was no ice but according to locals its a late former..can be scoped from the second summit above Sunblessed.

hasnt been below zero during the day since Jan 03, but cold at night..could be perfect for Scottish Tale..

Drove through yesterday and this morning. It's a battle of cold air vs sunny aspects, coupled with minimal running moisture. Today and tomorrow you could probably find some scratchy thin stuff to TR, but nothing looked really thick and bomber for leading, I bet by the weekend it will have warmed enough for what's there now to detach. Shannon Falls was rimed up on the sides, Icetime for Gonzo was looking thin. Nice smears/flows on lower angle stuff left of Shannon Falls and in Murrin area. Scottish Tale could be coming in, but keep in mind it is a terrain trap that gets full morning sun on the upper curtain (Hadrian's Wall)...choose your timing wisely.

Olesen Slabs are fun...worth a scratch up before the weekend!!

I figure scottish tale would amount to a long walk in the rain this weekend

Kevin Mclane was pretty much certain its in...but yup you never know until you go look, its not that long of a walk and the trail is flagged now making for pretty quick work.

You are supposed to take Friday off...I just got it covered woohoo!!

The long range is not so inspiring..

BOTH THE GFS/ECMWF AGREE ON A TRANSITION FROM A COLD NW FLOW TO A

MORE MILD SW FLOW REGIME SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. THE GFS SHOWS A

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS TYPE PATTERN WITH A MOISTURE PLUME AIMED INTO WRN

WA...STALLING THROUGH MID WEEK WITH HEAVY AMOUNTS OF RAIN POSSIBLE.

THE ECMWF IS STRONGER WITH THE INTERIOR RIDGE WHICH RESULTS IN THE

MOISTURE PLUME REMAINING MOSTLY OFFSHORE OR AIMED INTO B.C.

BYPASSING WRN WA. NOT SURE WHICH SOLUTION IS RIGHT BUT THE CHANCE

POPS SEEM APPROPRIATE AT THIS POINT. MERCER
