WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Recommended Posts

Come on, someone must have gotten out and done something this weekend, bring it! Phil_can_dig_it.jpg

Phil Guidotti on some route prep work with a shovel. Around these parts sometimes you have to dig to see rock:-)

Are you guys digging out a second pitch there??

Sorry, no pics from this weekend's climbs, Bill - but I could sketch you an artist's rendition!

I think he's adding 10 more feet to an existing route so he can bag the FFA "sit start variation":-) :) I bet a sketch from you would be more interesting than most of my pictures Marcus! :lmao:

I dunno Kevbone... did you ever hear of any of the work that went into "Europa" on the Chief a couple years ago? They were digging metres of dirt and hauling full-grown cedars

Climbed six or seven pitches in Hylite yesterday, which is a lot better than my average day of two or three pitches, but there was a lot less time for photos. The first is my friend Spencer on Dribbles, the second is of Specter.

I also took a neat picture of some friends kayaking in the moonlight on Saturday.

Could be, I've only climbed with him a couple of times, he seems to know his way around the area.

Does he have long shaggy curly black hair?

Bouldering in Morrison, CO. Wish i had been at Index, though!

Is that the spot right at the hogsback where you just pull off the highway and hike up the slope on the North side to some bouldering? Haven't been there in years but it looks very familiar.

Nice!

Morrison is my old stomping ground. Did you do some of the routes in the black hole? Always nice to have a place you can boulder almost year round and in the snow since its so overhanging.
