Fairweather will now be making a statement:

Best wishes to Obama. His past socialist leanings notwithstanding, he seems like a good man. I hope he can keep his democratic congress on the task of financial and security issues and away from the social issues that cost Clinton his congress in 1994. We'll see. While it's a relief that TTK and Prole didn't take my wagers, I will offer this as a consolation prize:

Obama is now the president of The United States, and he is my president too.

Hasta pronto.

Wow.

You must be taking this really hard.

No insults or anything negative.

I hope you feel good about this new turn for America within a few years.

No one is more relieved than I, although I never, even for a nanosecond, seriously considered it.

Has anyone checked in on Fairweather,he been kinda missing,i'm not shure but maybe we should call 911 or The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the Animal Contol for his dog/pig,or bring him a large jar of KY jelly! Hell there got to be some kind of 12 step program for Rightwing Asshats out there? Maybe send him a get well soon card or a Fruitcake?? Or at least call he to say sorry about your luck,if he hasn't ripped the phone cord out of the wall and burned his keyboard.

"Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."

Please reconsider that Hugh, as I think you may have just opened the door to an unrelenting barrage of Palin quotes. Winston Churchill has stood the test of time.

...................hmmm...............here: lets see it in action: "I can see Russia from my house!"

See what I'm talkin' about there?

Winston Churchill has stood the test of time

yes, he produced some great witticisms.

As a politician and manager he was pathetically, and consistantly, out of touch. The butcher of Gallipoli, his complete inability to understand the Partition of India, and on, and on. There's a reason he lost the general election in 1945

McCain's concession speech was good right up until...

I think McCain's concession speech was good, right up until the beligerent horde before him started booing and jeering at the mention of their new president and vice president. In contrast, Obama's mention of McCain was met with cheers. Final verdict on which side was the dark side in the election, as if it weren't already apparent.

If McPalin had not run such an unbelievably bad and negative campaign, those supporters might not have acted so unbelievably bad at the concession speech.

I think those supporters acted so badly because

a) Their candidates are pricks

and

b) they're pricks.

naw, you cynical scat-muncher - as you very well know, they were so rude and inconsiderate b/c goddess liberals like you have corrupted our education system, and these riotious bastards simply were never taught the good old fashioned values of our forefathers that have been stripped from us by queen worshippers and elton john look-alike contest winners :P
