Dan_Miller
"Graybeard" Peak Yes, I understood what you were referring to, however in the interest of correctness, I must correct. It's a really long ways in the winter, when the Highway is closed. Possibly accesible via snowmachine or a lengthy ski. Spring's the time, as soon as possible after the Highway opens. Â Talk to Wayne Wallace or Mike Layton, DC about the potential avalanche hazards. Â Cheers, Â Dan

AlpineMonkey
What is North Face of Greaybear? I've never heard of it? Is it a rock climb? A colouir?

AlpineMonkey
Oh, I know that. The author wrote "greybear" sounding to me like "grey-bear" and the central washington through me off.

Trent
Braydon: Even in spring, the central gully is an avy chute. Check out this TR. We climbed the route the same day and did not realize that this had happened; we just thought that the party below had bailed. Pick good conditions and get an early start!
