Spiral_Out
I'm looking for some good action on those days when no partner is available. I was wondering if anybody had any good suggestions for routes that lend themselves as good one day solo outings. Looking for 4th class up to 5.4 routes in the cascades. Stevens pass to Snoqualmie area preferably, but any suggestions are welcome. Cheers!

scottgg
the mighty tooth for sure... Marko first introduced me to simul soloing on that iconic northwest peak, and I have been back several times since.
Alpine_Tom
The NE Buttress of Chair Peak is a fun solo. Pair it with der toof, and that'd be a reasonable day outing. Edited September 19, 2008 by Alpine_Tom

curtveld
Looking for 4th class up to 5.4 routes in the cascades. Lotsa fine routes above but many require climbing harder than 5.4, so use your judgement. Other good ones farther north are the standard route on DelCampo Peak, West Ridge of North Twin and Tomyhoi Peak.

Alpine_Tom
I second Del Campo and N. Twin. North Twin is a Really Fun Climb, although route-finding to the trailhead can be a challenge. Tomyhoi is okay, but there's a lot of driving and hiking for about 100 feet of actual climbing. It's awfully pretty up there this time of year, though. Forgot about the S rib of Guye Peak. Another fun class-4 scramble, if you don't mind some moderately loose rock. Has the added benefit of a pretty short hike. Edited September 22, 2008 by Alpine_Tom
