WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Cascade River Rd closes 9/15/08 at MP 20

Recommended Posts

FYI, in case it wasn’t already on folks’ radar, I just saw posted at Marblemount that the Cascade River Road will be gated at mile 20, the Eldorado parking lot, starting on Monday, September 15 for road repair. The notice said the repairs are scheduled to be completed by December, so I wouldn't expect it to be reopening anytime soon. As usual, the last 3 miles of road will still be open for hiking.

I've biked it. Kinda sucked for some of the sections going up (I remember pushing the bike for several sections at least) but was glorious blasting back down again...
